Emma Doyle

Originally from the UK, Emma Doyle has built a career rooted in art, education, and the gallery world. She has taught art and ceramics to both children and adults, finding meaning in nurturing creativity while also learning from the individual perspectives her students bring. For Emma, growth is reciprocal—teaching can be as much a form of learning as it is sharing knowledge.

Her curiosity extends to psychology, human connection, travel, different cultures, and the sea. In her own work, Emma thoughtfully considers not only form and material, but also physical qualities such as balance, movement, and magnetism, allowing these elements to carry ideas about navigation, changing direction, and different stages of life’s journey. She is interested in what happens along the way as much as in where we arrive. Having lived in the Comox Valley for the past year, Emma continues to bring imagination, a quiet philosophical sensibility, and grounded leadership to her art and engagement with the creative community.
