September 2024 Newletter
September is in full swing, and our community is bustling with new initiatives, creative endeavours, and the harvest from our beautiful region's gardens and orchards. As we enjoy the season’s bounty, it’s a perfect time to start thinking about fresh ideas and projects to carry us through the quieter winter months.

Plein Air for Members
June 2024 Newsletter
Warm weather is finally here, and at the Pearl, we are excited to spend time outdoors, whether gardening, hiking, or painting "en plein air". For the rest of the summer, we are excited to invite you to participate in a special opportunity to paint live in front of the Pearl Ellis Gallery. This public display will draw visitors to the gallery and allow you to interact and share your creative process with them.
Summer Fest
Join Pearl Ellis Gallery at Comox Summer Fest on Saturday, June 22, from 10 am to 5 pm. We will have numerous mini-paintings available for purchase by donation, and our talented member artists will be creating custom mini-paintings live at our booth. Request any subject—be it a tree, flower, night sky, or baseball mitt—and watch your personalized mini masterpiece come to life. While the event is free, donations are encouraged to support the gallery’s programs and initiatives
A Return to Normal Hours
With Covid restrictions behind us, the gallery and the museum have decided that it’s time to return to pre-pandemic hours. Starting on June 1st, we will be open from 10 am to 4 pm. This return to normal hours will be welcome news for our visitors and patrons, but it also means we need to recruit more volunteer hosts.
