Roberto Binda

Roberto Binda brings a background in strategic planning and nonprofit leadership, having worked as a consultant with Urban Systems Ltd. and served as a Board Member and President of the Urban Systems Foundation, a western Canadian charitable organization.

After many years of visiting family in the region, Roberto and his partner recently relocated from Calgary to the Comox Valley, where he is embracing a semi-retired lifestyle and dedicating more time to community involvement. He volunteers with several local and international organizations, including Project Watershed, Habitat for Humanity, the Filberg Festival, and Developing World Connections.

Roberto has been exploring the visual arts for over 15 years through classes and workshops across a range of mediums. He is particularly interested in the connections between materials and techniques, and is guided by a personal philosophy of cultivating an “artist’s mind” and living a colourful life.

Exhibiting at the Pearl Ellis Gallery marks an important milestone, as it is the first time Roberto has felt confident sharing his work in a gallery setting—an opportunity he greatly values.
