Sharon Lalonde has achieved Exhibiting Member status, with the Federation of Canadian Artists and her paintings are displayed internationally and throughout Canada.
She creates painting that are energized, expressive and dynamic.
The inspiration for the generally representational work, is the challenge of rendering the dynamics of light, movement and life of the image she paints.
Sharon strives to make a statement about the world, in a way that has not been said before. This is achieved using collage, acrylic and a variety of mark making tools. She has started working on wood panels as they allow more flexibility with adding materials and sanding or scraping to take elements away. That part of the process is continually evolving.
