The Abundance Members’ Show
The Abundance Members’ Show has come to a close with outstanding results—10 pieces sold! This vibrant exhibition truly lived up to its name, filling the gallery with creativity, colour, and imagination. Congratulations to all the artists for creating such engaging and inspiring work, and thank you to everyone who visited, shared their enthusiasm, and supported our local talent.
For the gallery, these shows are especially meaningful because they allow us to give back to our members—the heart of our organization. Seeing their work appreciated, purchased, and celebrated is always deeply fulfilling, and it reminds us of the important role the gallery plays in connecting artists with the wider community. Together, we are building an environment where creativity thrives and artists feel supported in sharing their vision.
Text: The Art of Language
September 16 – October 11
The Pearl Ellis Gallery is proud to present Text: The Art of Language. This exhibition invites visitors to explore the many ways that words, letters, and symbols can enrich visual art—adding layers of communication, storytelling, and meaning. From subtle hints of text woven into the composition to bold statements that command attention, each piece reveals the power of language to inspire thought and spark conversation.
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 20, 1–3 pm
We warmly invite you to join us for this special event, where you’ll have the chance to meet the artists, share in their creative vision, and enjoy light refreshments in a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow art lovers and celebrate the intersection of language and visual expression.
Giftables: Last Chance to Apply
Deadline: September 30
Giftables: A Holiday Pop-Up returns November 11–22, and we’re excited to once again transform the gallery into a festive marketplace brimming with creativity. This annual event showcases a wide variety of handcrafted treasures—perfect for holiday giving—at affordable prices. From original artwork and prints to jewelry, textiles, ceramics, and small gift items, there’s always something unique to discover.
If you’re a member artist, this is your chance to share your work with the community during one of our busiest and most joyful seasons. Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out—applications close on September 30.
Gallery Upgrades
Please note that the gallery will be closed November 24–28 for floor replacement and maintenance. These upgrades are part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the Pearl Ellis Gallery a welcoming, professional, and inspiring space for artists and visitors alike.
You may have already noticed some recent changes—new shelves, benches, and layout adjustments—all designed to enhance the way we showcase our members’ work. We’re excited to continue these improvements and look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed space in time for the busy holiday season.
What’s Coming Up
The fall season is full of opportunities for artists to get involved:
October 1: Submissions open for our 2026 Open Shows. We have 4 open spots available for artists to propose an exhibition, and we encourage you to share your vision. These shows are always a highlight, giving local artists the chance to showcase their work in a professional gallery setting.
October 7: Applications open for our final Members’ Show of the year, Joy. What better way to close out 2025 than with an exhibition that celebrates brightness, creativity, and the uplifting spirit of art?
